Garden tips for November
Central Landscapes has a wide range of great mulches (all from recycled products or by-products of timber processing) to lock in moisture at the roots of plants. Give it a boost: Apply blood and bone before spreading mulch to add some nitrogen for the plants.

Garden tips for October
Tomatoes and other summer vegetables can be planted. Add companion flowers around them for the bees and the salads. Fruit trees require fertilising and install traps to control Guava and codling moths.Â
Weed the garden so the plants can flourish, do a pest check on the roses and spread sheep pellets and mulch. Trim proteas, leucadendons but avoid fertilising them. Great time for sowing or repairing lawns.

Prepare for a great summer harvest, condition and feed the soil, get the strawberry bed ready and install climbing frames ready for tomatoes and beans. Add some lemon flavours in the herb garden.
